GBIF Spreadsheet Templates, User Guide Description: A brief user guide to using GBIF spreadsheet templates to publish basic biodiversity data and resource metadata. Abstract: GBIF provides a set of pre-configured Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files that serve as templates for capturing metadata, occurrence data, and simple species checklists. The spreadsheets are linked to an online processing system that validates the uploaded (or emailed) spreadsheet file and then transforms the data to a Darwin Core Archive and returns this to the user.
